What we store
- Account: username, display name, email (private — never shown to others), passphrase (hashed — we can't read it), role, time zone, theme and notification choices.
- Your cozy things: buddy, star jar, routine, journal, stuffies and photos, reward tasks, reminders, mixes and breathing sessions.
- Community: posts, stories, hearts, recommends, bookmarks and reports you make.
- Connections: who you're connected with and your messages with them.
- Security: sign-in history (time, IP address, browser) kept for 180 days to protect your account.
Who can see what
- Only you: your journal (unless you share an entry), private stuffies and photos, reminders, mixes and settings.
- Your connections: caregivers you connect with can see your buddy, star jar and routine (you can turn each off per connection), journal entries you choose to share, and your messages with them.
- Everyone: posts, published stories, and stuffies you mark public — shown with your display name only.
- Moderators: may view reported content and account details to keep the community safe. Staff actions are logged.
Guests
Without an account, your things are tied to a cookie on your device. If you sign up or sign in on that device, they move into your account. Unused guest data is deleted after 120 days.
Photos
Uploaded photos are re-encoded and stripped of location and camera data, stored outside the public website, and only served to people allowed to see them.
Cookies
We use essential cookies only: sign-in, security (CSRF), guest device, theme and time zone. No advertising or third-party tracking.
Connected apps
When you sign in to a partner app with your account, it receives only what the sign-in screen lists (for example your profile, email and connections). Disconnect any time in Settings.
Your choices
Export everything as a file, or delete your account, from Settings. Deleting removes your account and personal content; community posts are removed with it.
